Welcome to Sleep Medicine and Psychiatry

Our sleep center is fully accredited as a Sleep Medicine Center by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. We perform overnight sleep studies (Polysomnograms) six nights a week in comfortable bedrooms similar to a hotel with king or queen sized beds. We also offer daytime nap tests (Multiple Sleep Latency Tests) five days a week. In an attempt to make your stay with us more like a hotel and not like a hospital, we also provide a complimentary breakfast and lunch service (provided by Bob Evans Restaurant) if you require an MSLT.

Dr. Saribalas' clinic is one of a few in Central Ohio that has Sleep Medicine sub-specialists from more than one specialty available for consultation. This gives our patients the advantage of one physician consulting a colleague for any issue that arises. Dr. Michael Saribalas has the privilege of working with other Sleep Medicine specialists. Such as Dr. Ralston (a Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician) who is certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine, Dr. Delphia (a Neurologist who is also certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine), and Mark Levy D.D.S. (a local dentist who is highly trained in oral appliances).

  Do You Snore At Night?
Snoring is frequently a sign of sleep disordered breathing (sleep apnea). Some people stop breathing (apnea) or breath very shallow (hypopnea) for multiple seconds. During an apnea or hypopnea, a persons oxygen saturation usually decreases and some feel blood pressure increases as well. Overall, the snoring, apneas, and hypopneas usually fragment a person’s sleep architecture. This results in waking up in the morning feeling un-refreshed. Morning headaches, a dry mouth, and memory problems can also be exhibited.
